That was a great article. It helped me alot. I have a question though. I'm thinking of writing an acrostic poem and I was wondering does the title have to go with the poem?? Like if you have the title Phone (bad example) does it have to be about a phone? Anyways great article!!

I think you forgot to mention a very important rule of the acrostic poem
The title must reflect the very essence of the poem
But other than that it is a helpful article

Great concise, to the point article. Acrostic poems are great, but don't forget you can use your artistic license with these! You don't have to only use one word for each letter! You can do an entire sentence, even make it rhyme. The acrostic is just a base to get you started. Don't feel restricted by the rules of a style of poetry.
