Some nice tips there Bob, especially about keeping things short and having interesting titles.

I would say though that everything you suggested about not using certain words, should be removed, because you can't very well encourage someone to develop their own style and then tell them using "I" and "and" is not good writing.

I must say Kevin has a good point maybe
for a beginner still finding his own style,
AND AS LIKE I, who has found my style,
think for myself and find this article to be a
revelation. With three years of writing with
AND AS LIKE I had no clue of trying not
using them in a metaphor or comparison
and have been in almost every simile
line I have written. This takes me to a
whole new level in the making of more
creative writing.
