Lost Freedom but I Still Fight

by bornapoet   Aug 13, 2011

Trapped in a tremendous dark cage,

Feeling lost inside with nowhere to run.

Feeling whips sinking through my skin, fervent in the sun-

My freedom ripped from me, oh what rage!

I am sucked in a deep frightening hole called discrimination.

It is as if I am stuck in a puddle of quake-sand,

Seeing somebody else¢¯¿½¯¿½s identity on my land.

Stuck inside a dark cloud called trepidation.

Nowhere to neither sit, stand, nor hide,

Dark premonitions traveling through my head.

I should fight before more tears and blood are shed,

but, every time I try, I run into catastrophe, and we collide.

To much pressure, somethings I just can¢¯¿½¯¿½t take.

There is no fate, but a handful of hate.

I should be turning my words into verbs before it¢¯¿½¯¿½s too late

There is too little love in the world, and so much at stake.

So while I¢¯¿½¯¿½m still alive and here

My freedom is lost and over there.

I will stand up, for I still care,

Cause I am strong and have no fear.
