This horror story that I tell
is the life of a beautiful angel.
I love this girl with all my heart.
No matter the distance or how far apart.

I know this girl inside and out.
I know what she can't thrive without.
She needs their love, but she's denied.
Her step brother laughs because she cries.

All she asks for is their affection.
All she gets is anger and aggression.
She comes to me so the tears can flow.
I cannot let the others know.

Her step mom hates her, the bruises are proof.
Yet I let her go home to be abused.
I'm a horrible friend to allow this hurt.
Why do I let them treat her like dirt?

To hide her arms, she wears long sleeves.
But we both know what's underneath.
I see the bruises, then the cuts.
My friends say "She should toughen up."

My friends don't know what's going on.
They tell me to leave her alone.
I've walked away from long time friends.
I'll support this girl to the very end.

Maybe you could call it exactly what you said in the first line. Call it, "A horror story of a beautiful angel". That sounds like a good title to me
