Losing Everything

by John Dlyan Boone BABY   May 9, 2012

"Losing Everything"

I watch everything catch flames
My dreams float away
all the voices disappearing
Only silence is left behind
Where did you go when everything was destroyed
Where did you go when i was left alone
Never thought that you'd leave me
where have you ran off to

How long can you watch the flames
How long can you stay away
How long can you leave me to die
why are you so afraid
How long can you leave this in effect
Will you come or will you hide
How long can you allow this to last
Losing all hope
Losing all hope

I watch everything catch flames
The love turning to ashes
Never were we ready for this
Fighting at every corner of the world
Is this just a plot to your hate
Is everything just a lie
Fire catching my lifes pace
Do you hear the screams

How long can you watch the flames
How long can you stay away
How long can you leave me to die
why are you so afraid
How long can you leave this in effect
Will you come or will you hide
How long can you allow this to last
Losing all hope
Losing all hope

Are you satifyed with all the death
Are you listening to all the cries
Are you going to come to us
Are you laughing in disgust

Are you satisfied with all the death
Are you listening to all the cries
Are you going to come to us
Are you laughing in disgust

How long can you watch the flames
How long can you stay away
How long can you leave me to die
why are you so afraid
How long can you leave this in effect
Will you come or will you hide
How long can you allow this to last
Losing all hope
Losing all hope

Losing all hope
Losing all hope
Losing all hope
Lost everything that I ever loved

I've had the horrible experience of having witnessed our house burn down in flames, so I can somehow relate. The memories we've built there, gone in a flash..
This piece came out as lyrical to me with the repetition, and it kind of worked. I like it. Just some typos with disappearing, corner, and satisfied.
    Keep writing :)
