The Holy Blade

by Samuel Ernst   Feb 12, 2014

The dawn of the new day unfolds,
Beams of the Sun shine dutifully upon
A latent stone with a deep cut,
As tho the stone molded around a blade,

Many tails told,
About this stone and the blade once within,
Of kings, and battles, and love,
About a woman in the water,
About murder and betrayal,

And thus I regress,
For all who would know,
Seek this power,
In greed or curious bewilderment,
A legend, nothing more,
But men have gone to mind,

A power such as this,
To bring nations to knee,
Or countries to peace,
To bring women, or men,
Or gold and riches,

And know this,
The blade may bring
A great and many spoil,
Ill gained or earned,
But mind you,
It is of Holy decent,
And no heart is without Evil......
