Defy

by Kakera   Mar 22, 2014

My body is a temple
where I write
apology letters
on my scarred skin

to the demon kings
for not allowing them
to use my self-hate
as their legions,

because I
defy their evil
every time
I want to die

and my skin changes
shapes and art styles
into the ugly and unclean
reflections come undone

but in the end
the demons show me that
seeking solace in prayers
is just wasting my breath
