Pandora's Box

by JaneDoeWrites   Sep 22, 2014

My mind is a pithos,
a vessel for every vile emotion,
where war and fear are touseled
between turmoil and famine- an
orphan cast down from fields of
gold to be crafted from clay,
my soul built mortal
and breakable.

But
my heart remains undefeatable,
a stronghold admist the company
of plague- so while this love may
have been ill-fated from its start,
one life will begin anew begging
the silence of your haunting
call:

"Think outside of the box"
he stammered, but knew not
the weight of those words.

*A/N: For a club challenge to use words undefeatable, breakable, one life, Pandora's box and fields of gold.*
