Deadly visions

by Dancing Rivers   Sep 24, 2014

I wish I was a cloud,
So I could fade away-
Vanish without a sound-
Never return again.
Bright black smoke,
Floating through the sky,
Evaporating hope.
Live, and let die.
Blood blood, rain down,
Hush hush, not a sound,
Cry cry, smile dear child.
Softly sweetly, in the wind,
floating, drifting, wasting away.
Choking, laughing, show no fear.
It's good it's bad, oh so gay.
Flutter flutter, little wings,
Hold your satin fast, brusquely.
Listen as all life sings.
Hold to death, closely, tenderly.
Vanish, dear sweet cloud,
Without a subtle trace.
Vanish within the crowd
Leaving behind all grace.
Hold fast to love,
Sink in it's depth,
Love is all you have
When inside you're dead...

Oh Hazel....I love this poem.Although I didn't exactly understand it but still I'm in love with it.Each line you have written, just keeps calling me to read it again and again.

I'm not sure but what I understood reading this poem is that you want to be a cloud....so that you can fly away, vanish, be free, mix with the whole crowd and so that maybe you can love.

    Lovely poem hazel.
