Blood blegh! ugh, gross!

Blood, Blegh! ugh! gross!

At first I thought it all sounded great,
No more need for diets, I'd look perfect for every date.
Not to mention the fact that I'd never be ill,
and that effectively my aging process stood still

When first he offered to turn me into one of his own,
a part of me felt like I'd finally have a home
and even though he explained every fact,
of how my life would change and I could never turn back

I took up his offer to become part of his kin,
and thus he embraced me, into his world i was let in
three days later only did I fully understand
why he asked me if I was sure, as he was holding my hand

See there comes a part in the turning of a fledgeling,
when the hunger takes over and it's time to start feeding
It's certainly the part that I despise the most,
because seriously, blood? Blegh, ugh, gross!

And now even here I'm a misfit that doesn't quite belong,
And it's not really that I did anything wrong.
But as a kindred that can't stand blood to drink,
What's left of my heart has started to sink.

And I wanted this with all my heart, to be like Bella from twilight,
I thought I'd be a super hero with my new vampiric sight and might
sadly however this was never quite meant to be,
For a vampire that won't feed is quite the oddity

And in this world, oddities are frowned upon
Yes in this world, oddities get to meet the sun.
And as the first rays touch and sear my skin
I welcome death to be free of the curse of my kin.
