Mosaic Waltz

by Maple Tree   Nov 16, 2014

Corridor's of light
flickered...

under a
vampiric
moon
I waltzed.

Bitten
in secrecy
our shadows
shaped like
a glass urn,
holding
ashes of
two lover's
skeletal
tears.

Eternal
silhouettes,
masquerading
upon a night
of misty veils
and perfumed
breezes.

Hushing a
silent,
respectful
courtesy,
my mate
kneels before
me-

A gentleman's
kiss of death,
two glass shadows
in the night....

    Hello Andrea,

I have just stumbled upon this write. I must say, its excellent. A dark vampiric write about love and eternal life given in the form of a kiss.

The imagery and use of glass to show the translucent qualities of the undead in the moonlight is super icy cool.

I can see their dance, waltzing in the candlelight, shadows dancing along with them, carried on the swirling perfumed breezes.

Then, he kneels, and with great respect delivers the forever kiss of death.

    Bravo!

    Take care,

    Michael x
