The Night Sky

by Rob   Jan 24, 2015

It's an eerie kind of silence,
Where your heartbeat fills your head,
Standing there in the darkness,
In the forest where they bled...

And if you listen carefully,
You can hear them in the trees,
As they whisper in the night time,
Which makes you want to flee...

The fear inside you is so intense,
But you're not there for the thrill,
You have come to find the place,
Where they say that she was killed...

The mist is hard to see through,
As the Ferries begin to chant,
It is for sure in their evil forest,
The fear has you in a trance...

They know just why you came here,
You just wanted to find the truth,
Committed to the enchantment,
But to them it is no excuse...

You come upon the place now,
Where on the ground her blood has dried,
Her body was ripped to shreds,
In this forest where she died...

No one knows what happened,
Except the Ferries in the trees,
They flew down and they bit her,
It is on the human flesh they feed...

As the terror begins to manifest,
It all stemmed from the hate,
You try to turn and run,
But now it is just to late...

They spread their wings, you can hear them fly,
In the night sky as they swoop down,
The excruciating pain begins,
As they pin you to the ground...

Inside this carnal existence,
Basked in all the shadowed lies,
Soiled with anticipation,
Of those who came here and they died...

Now you know how her fate was sealed,
It was just as they had said,
You had there chance to run,
As now just like her you're dead...

Provocative in their mystery,
As the Ferries fly away,
In this darkened evil forest,
Where they live and where they play...
