Santa Wears Red.

by HappieMappie   May 25, 2015

A lovely evening
Snow glistening so calm
Trickling in purity
Hitting steps of the lawn
A rare night is so sudden

Snowflakes drip along my face
I abruptly shiver
Our garden of roses
Are dead and withered
But I tend to favor the dead

The faint songs of bells
Hesitations to turn the knob
But my ignorance is persistent
And my head begins to throb
From jingles piercing my ears

Red arms grab mine
A crimson box thrown at my feet
I glimpse in curiosity
Breezes pass to save from heat
Overcome with uncertainty

Steadily unraveling
My heart pounds
Uncovering
What has been found
Revealed as a dark raven

And floats
And falls. Lifeless
Santa killed me
