The abuser gets away

The pain your feeling is not registering as pain.
It's registering as love.
Because all the bruises and the broken bones
That's how you were raised.
You don't know any different. So for you the abuse
Is the way to show love.
So while you lay in that hospital bed half dead you
Still swear he loves you and
You love him. Only this is a tragedy your dying and won't
Admit that he did it. you
Keep telling them you fell but they know better .
He's getting away with murder.
In fact where is he right now? Already with someone
Else. You defend him saying
You weren't strong enough to handle his love so now
He must move on.
No he should be in a jail cell getting his punishment.
Yet he never will pay
For his crimes against you he is going to hurt someone
Else because you wouldn't tell the truth.
