Revenche: Reclaiming the Dark (Denuncio)

by Larry Chamberlin   Sep 13, 2015

You can hear ragged voices crawl;
though you'd hoped to conceal them all
hidden within their idol dreams
under a rug with bursting seams.

Irony is bitter reaping
no longer will you be keeping
silent victims trussed and broken
justice exposed - they have spoken.

All your cronies thought same as you:
"they're hid away from social view"
well now they shout from witness stand
abuses under your command.

You know it's 'cause you put them there
left them without even a prayer,
weakened and silenced damaged souls,
you're carved into their damning scrolls.

Go run away, you cannot hide
by human jury you'll be tried
when sinks the needle poison in
your evil brain will melt within.

[Note: A Denuncio is comprised of at least four octosyllabic quatrains, in the rhyme scheme aabb, whose purpose is to denounce or throw scorn on the target. It is not necessary to identify the person or persons.]
