Black

by John Doe   Nov 1, 2015

It was Black,
Black as the night,
Black as the knight,
Black as my beating heart,
Black was her finest art.
The finest thing she ever produced,
the most platonic man it could seduce,
And yes it was Black.
But that's all I can say,
It was Black,
And I hope it remains that way.

A different write, here, that I enjoyed from the start. I love the honest and blunt end: "And I hope it remains that way". Well done and all the best
