Abandon ship

by Tyson   Jun 16, 2016

My lips still sealed holding the last kiss we shared,
Why do all relations have to come with a ship at the end,
Leaving heart Ache to shore,
drifting apart always ending in saying goodbye.

Short yet amazingly powerful and full of relatable emotions. The feeling I got reading this was one of longing, nostalgia. I felt tears in my eyes and my heart thumping loudly as your words brought me back to the one my heart longs for. Love the metaphor oh the ship, never thought of it in that sense. Beautifully done my friend, such vivid and gripping words.

Tyson, this is a short yet enthralling write that is very powerful.
I can picture you with this person, kissing and then them saying goodbye without warning and you still being there lips still waiting for further kisses. The imagery is great. I often wonder why they end in 'ships' but I suppose some ships sail and some don't.
