The Dark side of love

by *~Broken_Seraph~*   Aug 10, 2016

He approached me one night on the edge of the world. He had the form of a man made of the blackest fireless smoke. I could hear the air around him crackle and I could smell the burning cinders on his breath like a disease. I could see no face staring back at me yet I could feel his gaze penetrate the deepest places within my mind. One question reverberated in the air around us. "Tell me your deepest, darkest desire and I shall make it so." I don't remember saying the words, perhaps I never uttered them at all but he understood. He laughed maniacally for what felt like an eternity before he spoke. "Let it be done, I leave you the blessing and the curse of a love that consumes you." The last thing I remember was that laugh, that deep maniacal laugh and then I was consumed.
