Wicked maia

by sofia   Oct 7, 2016

Mourning clouds hide the sky
Black ink swallow the light.
Atrocious smell kills the breath of life.

This is the realm of the wicked spider
This is the reign of the queen of terror.

Marshes instead of woods.
Water replaced by blood.
Strangling nets all around abound.

Madness, terror and a wet tomb
is what expect the fool.

Who has lost his way
will violently pass away
So have a prayer,

pull yourself in a funeral pyre
before you dump on the wicked Maia.

Notes: the subject of the poem was inspired from one of the Silmarillion's tales (Tolkien)

I'm a fan of Tolkien myself, and the descriptive writing here would have done him proud.

Well done and all the best,
