Silver Wings

by Cherish   Mar 8, 2007

Using words to shelter from the rain,
my eyes glisten and I forget the pain.
Covered by my silver wing,
Angels dance and fairies sing.

My silver wings, guide me through the night
they help me see and give me sight,
Hanging by a a glassy steam,
I can bearly whisper let alone scream.

I fall an hit the soft warm land
but you catch me and i grab your hand.
You smile at me then take your flight.
I watch you fly towards the sunlight

Silver Wings have me swooping through the trees
they carry me up so I can feel the breeze.
Flying with an angel you,
a feeling so magical but yet so true.

A dazzling moment soon taken away
but my love to you will never stray.
A trickle of water slips down my spine
for now i know your truely mine.

This poem flowed wonderfully with a flawless rhyme scheme that did not distract from the point of the poem. I personally would have felt more comfortable with angelic you, but angel you works for me as well
