Numbatty

by nancilee wydra   Sep 10, 2013

Numbats are like kangaroos; but don't have a pouch.
They crawl out of their Mom and use her belly as a couch.
They sleep at night; but scurry around all day
And catch their prey, in a most unusual way.
With a long, sticky tongue, dinner is gotten
They find termites deep inside wood that is rotten
With five toes in front, and four in the back,
They can pull grub out of the tiniest crack.
