Ocelot

by Cantchangeme   Mar 28, 2015

If I were an ocelot
I'd spend my days catching flies
With a tongue six feet long
People would marvel at its massive size

You'd all come to crowd
Around the shiniest of my scales
And look deep into my Cyclops eye
With which I mesmerize Arctic Whales

I would have trouble standing
I've always wanted to know how it feels
To stand as an ocelot stands
On his uneven seven wheels

If I could just be like the ocelot
And swing by my trunk from tree to tree
I wonder if I'd swing and daydream
On what it would feel like to be me
