Puppet On A String:

by Scott Cole   May 27, 2015

I am but only a puppet
Don't you pull my string,
And quit leading me on
I wish that I could scream.

You are always so pushy
You make me do it all,
And when your in control
My backs against the wall.

Cause I am my own person
And I have my own brain,
So will you let me be myself
Before you drive me insain.

I hate to sing and dance
Or wear these funny pants,
I would walk off this stage
If you give me the chance.

So take your hands off me
And stop being so bossy,
Quit telling me what to do
Cause I feel alittle groggy.

I need to take me a break
So give my strings a rest,
Because I can only perform
When I am at my best.

I am but only a puppet
And I put on a string act,
At least I will never have
A hairy hand up my back.
