Never give up I believe is the message here. Birds are easy to use as metaphors but this one works so well. The imagery here is simple but stunning, well done for playing each scene out. Anyway. This seems to simply be about an old man who has a hard time standing up (out of bed or anywhere) and it seems like everyday he kept trying and trying never giving up. That tells me he loves life and wants to keep fighting. Hope is the emotion here. You might fail a hundred times but that one time you rise, it's worth the fight. Great message of hope and never giving up.

This is such a meaningful poem about aging. I think it is sad how the body works, in that as we grow and age, our body stops working as good as it is. But I always feel like when people stop moving, that is when age catches up with them. I think this is taken from your poem here, the determination to get up and carry on, to not give in to it. It is very well portrayed with the use of the crow. I also found that very funny as over here, in the UK, people say "old crow" in the same tem as "old witch" meaning a not very nice person, or a really grumpy man/woman in the neighbourhood who is always complaining at the little children etc.

Anyway, as always, it is your layout that I find enjoyable, it is just so easy and pleasant to read!
