I really liked this. The similes and that emotional tie to the poem... I could see everything in front of me yet feel how personal this poem is. That question at the end was uttered so softly, that nervousness and innocence here.

    Good job, enjoyed the brevity!

This piece is stunning. For being something so simple, it utilized repetition well and it set a tone for the life you are trying to regain for whatever reason. I agree that the similes are captivating and that the emotion oozes from every line. I love that the feel here is nothing short of beautiful simply because you managed to seem happy or at least content even though you are missing such a huge part of your bliss.

Stunningly penned. well worth the nomination

Gahhh I have missed reading your poetry. This is so beautiful. 99% of the time I can't interpret poetry correctly, but I think I have the blush metaphor right here, which hello - so creative. I just love your style!! LOL I feel star struck reading this, which is so ridiculous I know.

Hehe, yes, I felt a name change was needed.
The other one had been around since my first
account and it just felt... old. xD

I hope to! Trying to make writing
a regular part of my week again.
