You linked the summary for a reason, is the persona depicted in this poem the angel that appears in the book, or based off her?

I took the 'twirling in the wind' verse as the persona going wherever she is needed, and a nod at the height-based phobias the the protagonist and his mother and brother face.

I know this is a tangent, but after reading the summary, I wonder if the angel might be him (or a loved one in a past life), since he wasn't afraid of heights until he came across the George Washington Bridge which is one of the many infamous spots to commit suicide in New York, and it might be him or a loved one, trying to intervene since the phobia might have potentially cost him his life.

Sorry, back to the poem, it's a truly enchanting piece, and to echo what was previously said, it really is an elegant piece.
