    Hello,

    I hope you are well.

Love can lift you up and pull you down. A cliché, but this is more, oh yes!

Love pulls down, but not forever. The similes and metaphors are many and are all great, like: Swallowed poisoned words with a smile and, Receded my lion's will and valour, but perhaps my favourite: Now the strings do not like to be plucked and played.
Dust and rust are their new friends.

Love has not broken and battered this vessel, no, on the contrary the brown eyes twinkle the smile of a winner of love. No love will pull this smile down again.

Well done, a lovely poem full of gems.

    Take care,

    Michael
