    I love this Stephen.
Its direct, something everyone should need to read (even though some people may not like it)!
Speaks the truth! And it also stands out as a topic which is relevant... Excellent Senryu quintuplet.. :)
    5/5 & nominated..

Thank you very much :-) The news has been getting to me, of late. So heartbreaking to see so many tragedies, and being so helpless to preventing any of them.

So true, it's a sad state of affairs we live in each day when someone has to live in fear because of the color of their skin. Well done-

Even when I lived in the south, there wasn't this much racism. Maybe I was just in a better place than these communities, or perhaps I was blind to it... but either way, you definitely captured this and the style you chose only adds to the dimension.

Wonderfully penned, and such a tragedy to the world.

I'm in the South now, though I'm from the North, and I see a plethora of intentional and unintentional racism. Some of it may not be ill-intentioned, but the fact of the matter is that we need to all appreciate each other or we will fail as a species by destroying ourselves.

Thank you for taking the time to read my poem!

Every live matters no matter what age, sex, sexuality or colour. I do believe that they have it tougher than us though because of the society we have created ourselves. It's such a sorry state of affairs.

You did such a great job S. I'm sorry I'm out of votes but I hope this gets nominated and if it doesn't please remind me to do so.

Between this topic and the Orlando shooting I believe that we, as humans, have reached a point that we will either forcible come together to better things... or tear each other apart because we can't accept one another's differences. The media always does a wash over of the news articles to fit their own bias, so it's hard to get much truth these days. It's disgraceful.

    Judging Comment:

This piece captures history, which I suppose will be the case for a while considering all the modern events that are sure to be in the history books 5 to 10 years from now. There is a sense of urgency here that the piece last week about the EU did not have; and honestly, I appreciate the way this does touch on that. I also appreciate the way that the repetition here stresses the author's opinion as well as the tragedy of so many communities throughout the United States in the past few years. Formatted pieces often limit a person's accuracy and voice, but I feel like this author did a fantastic job making the style and form fit his intentions instead of conforming to the limitations of the box.
