Another Sunrise

by Arunansu   Feb 29, 2008

A tempest swept away
mounds of whimpers
stacked on my backyard,

plenty of space is now empty.

Friends enquire, "why not do
some gardening? Greens
will keep the plot occupied."

Having attuned myself
to the routine of daylight
and chaos for livelihood,
I wish for no further variation.

"No, it feels much better
with me, my breathing room

and a vault of sky.

Only, my windows shall
remain open

for another sun
to burn my eyes."
