Different strokes

by Arunansu   Jun 17, 2008

My highs and my lows brush over the canvas
engaging a rainbow.

You may bring in a scent of ripe mangoes
fresh guavas, and saccharine taste of litchis.

Hoary spots have speckled my paintings;
I keep a count of the shades of rust.

You may seep through these plastered walls,
return the tunes treasured in your deposit.

The yellow, orange and red may merge
with the dark,

I hope you will switch on the street lamps.
