Views of life

by kelleyana   Jun 24, 2009

Thinking she'd everything,
yet the most essential were missing.
Lost the perfect harmony with her being,
accepting everything as it seems.

Letting herself failed before even tried.
Low self esteem that brings her down,
thinking she'd no chance to strive towards a crown,
so she kept holding on to a past filled with failure.

Watching the sun shines through the rain, makes her
realized the fine line between failure and hope.
In the wink of an eye, needs takes over
suddenly her two feet touches the solid ground.

Looking in the mirror, loving what she sees,
then a motto came to her mind,
"You were born an original. Don't die a copy".
Then she knew, unique she'll always be.

There she sees that in all her cries, hopes are disguised.
Analyzing all her mistakes, she learns only lessons from them, that life's a climb, but the view is great,
Just hold on as she can and no needs to look behind.

This poem fled from pessimism into optimism perfectly. It changed as it went along and the timing and rhymes were terrific.

    Beautiful write...

//"You were born an original. Don't die a copy".
Then she knew, unique she'll always be.
    //
very though provoking ... so many youngster feel inferior and low while imitating their so called role models... everyone is unique and they should learn to preserve their uniqueness...

    wonderfully penned :)
