by Michael
Floating along the dark ocean all alone sitting on his wooden cross
Body is battered and bleeding, head gazing at the water in sorrow
Pondering over all that has happened, everything that he has lost
Alone in thought on the dark ocean, wonder will there be a tomorrow
He leans down and takes his foot in one hand, mending the wound
Blood trickles from his skin, he wipes the blood away from the cut
The water takes him further out into the sea, fading out of sight soon
Tears trickle down his cheeks, thinking of how he got stuck in this rut
The night grows colder and his skin freezes, he awaits a sign from above
Hoping for grace and divinity to free his soul and save him from disaster
He grows angry at the long silence, when all he asked for was god's love
He begins praying for his eventual death to not take so long, to come faster
Tiring of the agonizing wait of his eventual demise, he jumps into the sea
The ice cold water freezes his skin, yet as he sinks he breaks out into song
Blissfully singing glorious melodies at the top of his lungs while he can breathe
He sighs mournfully as his heart stops beating, the death he wanted took far too long
