Just Listen

Why does everyone get aggressive when someone is trying to teach a lesson,
Their not trying to be disrespectful,
Their trying to offer something beneficial,
They have experience and street smarts,
What you need to keep from being ripped apart,
Want to get shot or fed to the tank sharks,
Want to be stupid don't listen to your heart,
Don't use your brain these guys are bold and plain,
What they want from you is someone to drain,
Your just some mindless drone with no room to complain,
Get out there boy do your job hurry up punk go find someone to rob,
Take this smack if it ain't sold don't bother coming back,
You know what I mean do as your told,
You mess up one time it's the end of the road,
Why should anyone want to live their life in fear,
It can be prevented if you choose to stay clear,
Don't accept any offers that sound to good to be true,
Just let them talk until they turn blue,
Walk right by like they don't exist,
Sometimes it's hard but you have to resist,
Your life is beautiful keep it at peace,
Now you know some of what we learned from living on the streets.
