Trials&Tribulations

by Countess of Monte Cristo   Aug 26, 2011

Trials and tribulations..
Have shaked my once solid ground,
Lost in the deepness of the unknown,
Finally myself I've found.

Sometimes it is necessary to hurt,
In order to eventually heal,
The pressures hurling from every corner,
Victorious I now feel.

The wind pushed me to and fro,
Until I reached the promised land.
Once drifting in the waters of uncertainty,
On my feet I proudly stand.

Trials and tribulations have tested me,
The pain sure made me strong.
Meeting face to face with my new self,
The one I've waited to meet for far too long.

I broke the shackles of fear,
Like a dam that has finally burst.
Flying like a freed bird,
The cage that enslaved me..cursed.

What is equal to a hundred deaths,
Is to live without freeing your soul.
This is my simple story,
I have no other to be told.

*Every word in this piece came straight from my soul. Finito.
