The White Yellowish Shoe

by Everlasting   Jul 2, 2014

I was a white-yellowish left shoe,
with black and thin laces tied-up;
always clean, never smelly.
[ I used to shine ]

But I stood in an apparel-box
always waiting for my right shoe to come.
Time went by, and nobody ever wore me.
[ I felt useless ]

I felt like a shoe
meant only for exhibition;
meant to have no other purpose.
[ I felt alone, and I still do]

But this shoe has never given up on hope.
No, this shoe still has hope
and it will wait
until its lord spots its right shoe from wherever is at,
and brings it into its box,
so later, side by side, they can serve their purpose:
to walk a child
into the right path.

    Some really take the shoes for granted and some really love the shoes for it has taken them on many paths not giving way. I like the meaning in this poem...very very good!
