Poet's Wisdom

by -Choke-On-MY-Halo-   Jul 24, 2014

Memoirs of souls
Where kept in numerous scrolls,
Passed down from one generation
to the next,
Penned in different types of text,

Wisdom weaved in ink
So children would rethink,
Of future mistakes
& avoid a lot of stakes,

Poets bleed
With that they planted seeds
For the world could see
So no one would have to be
"Me"

You were right when we were talking and you said your pieces for the contest weren't really you. This one is lacking your usual flair; however, one line stood out to me and really left me going wow, that was great, phenomenal line:

    "Wisdom weaved in ink"

    great write.
