Chemical Abuse

There is a balance of using and abusing
that took me a long time to discover.
Meditation and medication can be confusing.
It is harder for some than others to recover,
because prescriptions are made to the letter,
(not if a little does good then a lot is better.)
Reason is the first that is numbed, in a drink
so I used to take another to help me think?
The same may apply to any drug of choice
that alters the conscience (that little voice)
It is mental health hanging in the balance
Heart soul and mind suffers with imbalance
Healing in sprit is best sooner than latter
I know of no other power that is Greater.
