Monsters

by Jay Colon   Aug 18, 2014

Most people think monsters are strangers
most likely their the person in the same household
Sleeping with the enemy
Monsters portraying to love but they despise
Envy wishing your happiness is theirs
Monsters are all sex
Men and women
Taking every innocents of the little girl or boy
You call son or daughter
Or even husband or wife
Mom or father
Monsters are all over
Killing their own blood
Assaulting one another
Believing their own illusions
Creating even a bigger monster within
Monsters dont even let infants have a chance at life
Monsters just dont let a lot of people live their full life
The monster could be looking right at you
You would never know
Unless the monster is after you
Or maybe
The monster is you
No one knows exactly who the monster is until it happens to you

The "Monster" is within all of us... a dark side.. Problem is some humans let go of sanity and rational behavior and therefore let the Monster take over.

This piece was touching and heartbreaking... very nice write Jay!
