You are The Son of God.

by Everlasting   Aug 19, 2014

Jesus Christ,

You are like the sun rising amongst the mountains,
but also like rivers streaming down in forests.
You extend up to villages,
In canal-like wells, for people to drink water from.

And yes,

You are also like the desert in the Sahara:
Too dry [ presence wise] thus often too deserted,
Too brittle for the eyes of the incredulous,
And deceiving? only for those hallucinating.

But oh, Jesus Christ,

You are more like the sub-terrain waters in Earth,
Ready to spring from within the ground
as an oasis in our torrid weathers,
when our mouths are drier than our lands,
And when our faith only hydrates before our eyes.

Indeed, Jesus Christ,
You are the son of God.

Breathtaking write, moving and spiritual. The similes are magnificent and reminds me of what we cannot always grasp. The parts of creation that baffle us, put us in awe because we can't imagine something so glorious being created. And I also like how you write what He is like, and He is the creator, so it's even more indescribable.

"And when our faith only hydrates before our eyes."
    - Wow, this line makes me pause for a second. It really is reflective and amazing to see Jesus as waters of life, waters of the Earth and of our soul that are waiting to spring forth and fill us with everlasting life, love. Indeed, He really is the Son of God and brings salvation.
