This too shall pass.

by Poet on the Piano   Sep 15, 2014

Lately, I've done more writing than praying.
But maybe this ink could serve as a prayer,
a bouquet offered up in times of uncertainty
when my fingers are too tense to hold utensils
and my lips too chapped to form an echo.

Lately, I've done more reflecting than giving.
These spiraling concepts that flood my vision
tell me I'm not in a safe zone, yet they eventually
fade or dissipate into air while
faith solidifies.

This life is only partly mine,
(it's also yours).
