Diamonds in the sky

by Dancing Rivers   Sep 24, 2014

In my mind,I see diamonds,
Lying on the floor of life,
Fallen from the hearts,
Of open window eyes,
Misted over by the heat,
Of young souls rejoicing.

I'm my heart,I feel diamonds,
From the youthful fountain
Of my wildest dreams.
They crystallize, wings outstretched,
Like eagles they soar,
Till they reach the greatest heights
Of an ecstatic mind.

In my hands,I hold the diamonds,
Of my short life.
Good times and bad,
I throw them up,
They sparkle and gleam,
Now the world can see,
My diamonds in the sky.

My painful tears,
Tears of joy,
The sparkling memories,
Of joyous times,
The gleam of reminiscence,
Of times unforgotten.
They are yours, mine, ours...
The diamonds in the sky.
