Free Thinking

by Michael D Nalley   Oct 7, 2014

There once was a country whose borders cost a lot,
precious blood that carries the soul to our cells.
As our ribs protect a heart our brain thought
it was the sacred temple where a spirit dwells.
Some subjects decided to reject the true king
thinking suns revolve around stationary ground.
Worshiping a nation can be an awful thing,
when our solar system becomes turned around.
