Waterproof Eyes

by Baby Rainbow   Oct 27, 2014

Society seems to disapprove
of breakable stitched up hearts,
instead they seem to bask in
encouraging beauty with
waterless mascara for weeping eyes.

Younger generations
guided in wrong directions
to unknown places, which are
far away from everything they
used to know.

And a new level
of expectations has been set,
as talented introverts
paint waterproof mascara
upon their weeping eyes.

We all are moving in a fast pace. The youngsters are the one who are really under a lot of pressure,in this world so full of competitions.
    Life is turning so robotic.
We need to find out solutions to maintain a balance in our professional and emotional self.
The writer conveys this with an appropriate title' Waterproof Eyes'.
    Nicely penned 5/5.

Society nowadays is really a terrible thing, I believe what you are saying here is that we have to heal our hearts quickly and let the tears flow down our cheeks. Everyone needs to look beautiful to fit in, and with that, no one is really their true self anymore. Younger people are getting hurt and having to leave everything they know and start over. They become depressed and isolated from the rest of the world even family. Introverts need to cope with an art to express how they are feeling inside. It is sad really how much pain can fuel a creative spark, but it seems to be happening more and more.
