Salvation

by Baby Rainbow   Nov 20, 2014

Only the brave walk upon salvation,
after inept whispers from beneath the stairs
convince you that we are all alone.

Only the weak overlook the truth
as it blindly stares you in the eyes.

Oh salvation,
I never knew I needed you so bad.
I apologise for ignoring the signs
you sent to rescue me, I will not
make that same mistake again.

I will walk amidst the brave
and make this opportunity of life
a holiday to remember!

Prompt Challenge of:

a holiday to remember
signs
same mistake
walk upon salvation
only the brave
inept
I never knew I needed you so bad
under the stairs
whispers
we are all alone
overlook
