Waiting On Your Arrival

by Jason A Garcia   Dec 22, 2014

My hand rubbing ur moms belly.
Waiting, as patiently as possible.
Waiting to count ten fingers and ten toes.
Anticipating seeing u for the first time.
Hearing ur first cry and witnessing ur first breaths.
Holding u in my arms til u fall asleep.
Just as I would hold ur mom while she carried u.
Ready for the sleepless nights when u need love and attention.
Being at ur moms side from every ache and pain to all ur doctors appointments.
Changing u into clean diapers and clean clothes.
Laying beside u listening to u coo.
Seeing the smile on ur face when ur sister and brothers wanna play with u.
The sparkle in ur moms eye whenever she looks at u.
As ur hand wraps around my finger, the smile wraps around my face.
Realizing nothing is impossible when I see the newest addition to our family.
I just can't wait for u to be here so that I can be ur Dad.
