The Road of Life:

by Scott Cole   Feb 6, 2015

Life is but a journey, life is but a trip
That's full of potholes and many dips,
Your way is not always clear and bright
Cause the whole road is not in sight.
You can plan your route and mark it off
But theres still a chance you may get lost,
So take your time and stay alert
Cause theres many temptations you must avert.
When you feel the pressure and the stress
Proceed with caution for success,
Make sure your car can get you there
Prepare yourself cause life is not fair.
When you grow weak from the long drive
Have faith in God cause he's by your side
Steer clear of things that can hold you back
There is no short- cuts so stay on track.
Your last few miles are gaining ground
Your destination is the winding down,
Enjoy your life for what its worth
For days are numbered on this Earth.
When the road starts to reach its end
Your choosen life will soon begin,
A reservation has been made for you
And all your driving is finally through.
So you can cool your heels slow your pace
And remove your car from the human race,
Your road trip will then be through
And your final destination will be waiting on you.
