All in All:

by Scott Cole   Feb 8, 2015

All in all
A lifetime,
Is a measure
Of time.

Marking off the minutes
Marking off the days,
Great memories
Made along the way.

Long live your body
Long live your mind,
Hoping all goes well
Hoping all is fine.

As you get older
Years pass by,
You add them to
The ones left behind.

As moments move
The hands of time,
Days wind down
And time will fly.

As decades fade
Now and then,
You look back
Where you had been.

You put aside
Your parted ways,
And mix within
Your future days.

Above all
Keep them close,
Looking back
At what matters most.

As your age
Starts to grey,
Your ticking heart
Goes astray.

All in all
Your lifetime ends,
A measure of time
Now enjoyed by friends.
