My Imagination

by Emma from the Netherlands   Feb 18, 2015

Airport, airplane
Going to your destination
Beach, sea, sun
No obligations

Lying on the beach
Thoughts going through my mind
Want to stay forever
Leaving my old life behind

Looking back
At what I've done
Thinking about the call center
Makes me want to run

Far away from here
Run, run, run
Never touching that life again
Creating a new one

Releasing my thoughts
Every single day
The mess in my head
Needs to go away

White and blue
In a world with you
My dream on vacation
My imagination

Frustration, anger and sorrow
Thinking about tomorrow
Hoping I'll hear from that guy
Yet another day passes by

Incomprehensible guy
Don't understand it at all
Ready for holding on
But letting me fall

Falling in the ocean
Deeper in the sea
Not seeing clear
Wishing it wasn't me

Being used as disposable article
Nothing left of me
Losing myself
A broken girl is what I see

Looking in the mirror
Seeing the pain
Tears in my eyes
I'm going insane

I was ready for you
You were not ready for me
Story of my life
Cutting through me like a knife

You are like poison
Which I should not touch
I should be very careful
Or I'll care too much

Sometimes I wish I was more like a stone
Impossible to hurt me
Not being affected by anything
How I wish it would be

Not what I had planned
Job and guy frustration
Dreaming about another life
My imagination
