Face the Sun

by Michael D Nalley   Mar 10, 2015

When we face the sun,
leave shadows behind
our demons run,
or they will go blind.
To keep our eyes low
and not be so proud
makes our own path
with our head bowed
shaded from the wrath
of to much to soon.
To stare at light long
from dawn until noon
makes the truth so strong
it may just blind our sight
before we get to the night.
