Power Of Affection

by Liam   Apr 21, 2015

There once was a place said to contain life overflowing in abundance.

Now a desolate wasteland, fruitless, and uninhabitable.

This place was full of hope and promise for the future, an ever growing Utopia.

Severe droughts had scorched this land now for many years.

Hope and promise turn to depression and spite.

All who gaze upon it now and remember how it was cry for their lost beauty.

How sad they say, such a pity, such a waste.

This is the heart barren of love of all sorts.

The friendless, those who spend holidays alone, those who cry out at night in despair hearing only the devil respond because they feel gods no longer there.

And no one knows the pain they feel, they all say your okay, but don't know of your fears.

All of this could be prevented.

Your love and affectionate words are the rain that saturate the soil of their hearts.

We all could save a life, by giving back the love God has given us and using it to fill their soul, and let their heart float on it like Noah's Ark.

The water dries up, the heart is now anew and ready to be fertilized.

Just please, Don't let it die.

Liam has taken us on a simplistic journey through the power of compassion, affection and his love, passion and drive within his spirituality. Its a really pretty life/ religion poem and I had to showcase it this week. Lovely poem!
